OLD CEMETERY

Historic Gnowangerup's first Cemetery constructed from 1905, burial place of many of Gnowangerup's pioneers.It is located off Tambellup Road on reserve south west of townsite, near the WA Water Authority tank and pumping station. There are believed to be about 20 graves here, the names of which have not been identified. Both White and Noongar.

Margaret Walker was given this list from one of the older residents who is no longer with us now.
The list includes:
Mrs. Abe Richards (from Christmas Farm)
Boy Aylmore (son of Ted A.E. Aylmore)
Sam Pugh
Mrs. Allan Whyatt (his first wife)
Mr. Bloor
Baby girl Rowe (child of Mr. & Mrs. J.E.Rowe)
